Sweetwater Motor Boat Ale

I first noticed Sweetwater Brewery because of the rainbow trout on the bottle. (I’m a sucker for trout….brook trout mostly, but I think rainbow trout are beautiful as well). I tried their 420 Extra Pale Ale first, and I found it to be a tasty but subtle brew. (more…)

Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold

Vibrant orange pour with a neat clarity reveals a medium dense micro-bubbly effervesce. The head is bready in texture, eggshell white in color, all the while displaying a good retention rate optimizing visual appeal. The lacing was very good as well, with an abundance of small sticky patches gracing about 70% coverage of the glass walls. (more…)
