Pack for the forecast you’ll get, not the one you want. Sides, weights, and a plan for heat or cold keep the crew competent when the sky changes its mind.
Wind and rain
- Add canopy sides before the chips are airborne.
- Weight every leg on asphalt; stakes only where the lot allows.
- Leave the grill outside the enclosed box — see grill weather play.

Heat play
A fan across the shade, water in reach, and a grill minder still assigned.
Cold play
Sides up, a safe heater or layers, and an extinguisher or water in the same mental row as the grill. Hand warmers and blankets cover most games.
Before you roll
Check the forecast the night before and pack sides anyway. Wet sidewalls go home spread to dry.
