Penn State football tailgate at Beaver Stadium · University Park, PA

Saturday in Happy Valley means the lot you were assigned, an optional stop at the Nittany Lion Shrine, the Blue Band, and Beaver Stadium. Park the same lot all season, and respect the one-way traffic clock.

Must see / do

Around campus

  • Beaver Stadium and the Blue Band are the walk-up, with the band already in the approach.
  • The Nittany Lion Shrine is the campus photo stop, so plan a walk or a shuttle from the lots. Downtown State College and Beaver Avenue are the optional food corridor before the game.

Before the game

  • You park the lot you were assigned, all season, and you meet off campus to caravan in. One-way traffic starts 2.5 hours before kick.
  • East Deck is the ADA and day-of option, and there is no tailgating there. White Out and other theme games are the color when they’re scheduled, not every Saturday.

On the lot

  • Lots commonly open at 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. on the FAQ. One-way traffic starts 2.5 hours before kick, and East Deck is not a tailgate. There isn’t a thick standalone tailgate-policy page, so the rules live in the FAQ and the gameday copy.
  • The map PDF uses an opaque document link, so verify it’s still the 2026 Cardinal map each August. Zones and traffic are in the overview.
