Alex Box Stadium · Baton Rouge, LA

A baseball night at Alex Box is the lots west of Nicholson and the drop-off on Gourrier near Gate 2. Park on the west side so you aren’t crossing Nicholson.

Must see / do

Around campus

  • Alex Box is Skip Bertman Field. The Hall of Fame, named for Wally Pontiff Jr., is on the ground level down the third-base side and stays open through the 7th.
  • The Fan Zone behind home plate, on the concourse, is programs, birthday notes, and promo pickups.
  • Park west of Nicholson on Gourrier for the main reserved and gameday lots — free first-come options include Old Front Nine, Gourrier South, Levee South, and Hayfield.

Before the game

  • Reserved lots and gameday lots open 3 hours before first pitch. The Gourrier drop near Gate 2 starts then, the driver stays in the vehicle, and the car leaves right away.
  • Park west of Nicholson, in the Gourrier lots. Athletics doesn’t want you parking on the east side and crossing Nicholson.
  • The shuttle leaves the southeast corner of Lot 412. The parking page says 2 hours before first pitch, and a fan-services note says 1 hour. Use the parking page, and confirm it that week.

On the lot

  • Free first-come lots are Old Front Nine, Gourrier South, Levee South, and Hayfield. Season reserved lots are Hall of Fame and Champions. Accessible first-come spots are in Hall of Fame and the Bullpen with a state hangtag.
  • A tent over the tailgate is fine if the travel lanes stay open and you don’t take another space. Bigger than 10×10 is discouraged. No stakes, no sidewalks, and no saving a space with a tent.
  • Motorhomes use Lot 412 off River Road, also off Skip Bertman Drive. It is first come, not a season motorhome pass. Stack a generator exhaust to the roof. Weekday arrival is after 5:00 p.m., a weekend series opens Thursday at 5:00 p.m., and you clear out after a weekday game or by 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
