Auburn
Jordan-Hare Stadium · Auburn, AL
On the Plains the day runs from Tiger Walk along Donahue Drive, across the plaza, and into the seats for Eagle Flight. The lot opens Friday, so don’t plan like you’ll stake a deep spot Saturday morning.
Must see / do
Around campus
- Tiger Walk Plaza is the 2026 pregame hub near the walk. Live music, a video board, and the Tiger Tailgate Show moved here. Plainsman Park stretches that Donahue corridor. It opens at 10:00 a.m. for afternoon and evening games, and at 7:30 a.m. for morning games, per the 2026 changes.
- War Eagle is the greeting, the cheer, the fight song, and the eagle. You feel it walking up, not from a far-off lot. Toomer’s Corner, College and Magnolia, is where campus meets downtown. Rolling the oaks is after a win only. It is not a before-kick stop.
Before the game
- Tiger Walk is on Donahue Drive about 2.5 hours before kick in 2026. The old “2 hours” line is out. Get there early if you want a sightline. The walk ends at the stadium entrance.
- Gates open 3 hours before kick in 2026. Trust that week’s advisory over older pages that still say 2 hours. Spirit March and the Four Corners pep often land about 1:20 before kick when they’re listed. Verify the advisory. Eagle Flight is in the seats shortly before kick, about a 15 to 20 minute window on sample advisories.
On the lot
- Campus tailgating unlocks Friday at 4:00 p.m. Gear you set out before that gets pulled.
- Tent permits, grills, and the Hayfields and Samford clocks are in the overview. Don’t guess them.
Overview
- Tailgating begins at 4:00 p.m. Friday. Gear used to “reserve” a grass spot before then gets removed.
- Hayfields and Samford open Friday at 3:00 p.m. and close Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
- On-campus RV parking in 2026 is reserved, bought in advance through RevelXP. Not a casual roll-in.
- Grass next to a reserved lot is for that lot’s pass holders. No wheeled vehicles or trailers in grass tailgate areas.
- Grills and generators stay at least 50 feet from campus buildings, and out of parking decks. Extinguish charcoal and use the designated containers. Don’t dump coals on the ground or in dumpsters.
- A tent needs a permit over 399 sq ft, or if the stakes are 12 inches or longer. Joined pop-ups over the limit count. Call 334.844.4619.
- No university utilities. No residence-hall tailgating. Amplified sound needs a 14-day special permit. Tailgate at the Park and RevelXP are the premium packages.
The written rules and what an officer calls that Saturday aren’t always the same. Confirm yours the week of the game.
