Texas A&M football tailgate at Kyle Field · College Station, TX

The Aggie weekend starts Friday night with Midnight Yell, then Aggie Park, the Spirit Walk, the Fan Zone, the Corps, the band, Reveille, and the 12th Man. Confirm Spirit Walk and gate times on the official 12th Man site, not a visitor page’s clock.

Must see / do

Around campus

  • Midnight Yell is Friday at midnight at Kyle Field. Gates are about 10:45 p.m. Yell Leaders, the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, the War Hymn, the PMC cannon, and the lights-out kiss. It’s free, and the clear-bag rule applies. It’s the one to see even though it’s the night before.
  • Aggie Park is the open tailgate ground. The Aggie Fan Zone on the north side of Kyle often opens about 3 hours before kick on Visit itineraries. Check it that week. The Corps of Cadets, the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, and Reveille carry the pageantry up to kick. The 12th Man and the War Hymn are what you came to stand for. Be in your seat.
  • Northgate is the street scene right against campus, before the game and after. Keep it light. This isn’t a bar list.

Before the game

  • The Team Spirit Walk is on Houston Street about 2:15 before kick, on the Visit College Station and Ticketmaster pattern. Treat that minute as soft until that week’s 12th Man KBYG locks it. Kids’ Yell Practice by the War Hymn statue is often about 15 minutes before the walk.
  • Visitor pages often say gates open 90 minutes before kick. Confirm it on the 12th Man site. It can change by game.

On the lot

  • Aggie Park and the open-access lots are the map. Transportation Services runs the football parking, and free shuttles leave the public lots.
  • The land rush, the noon air horn, and the Aggie Park reservation are in the overview. Don’t guess the claim clock.

  • Sites open at 7:00 a.m. gameday and clear by midnight. No overnight stays. Spots you set up the day before are vacated by midnight too.
  • Open-access land rush is first come from 9:00 a.m. the day before. An air horn at noon is the claim, per the FAQ. A tent frame can hold a spot.
  • Greenspace within 15 feet of a 12th Man lot is reserved for people parked in that lot.
  • Aggie Park needs a reservation. That’s paid RevelXP, or the free virtual land rush, on windows that change by game.
  • Secure the tent. Stakes 12 inches deep or less. Don’t block a sidewalk or a drive lane. Tents over 400 sq ft can’t have sides.
  • Stay with the grill, and keep a cover on it. No ground fires or fire pits. Coals go in the designated dumpsters. Recreational generators only, 80 dB or under, inside your site.
  • Alcohol follows state and local law. It’s banned on the MSC lawn, at All Faiths Chapel, on the Penberthy fields, and inside facilities. No grilling in a garage or on a roof. Amplified bands, and music over 80 dB, are banned.

The written rules and what an officer calls that Saturday aren’t always the same. Confirm yours the week of the game.
