Drinking Games
Drinking games are for fun. Moderation keeps everyone safe. Follow applicable age laws — only adults of legal drinking age play, and only where the lot allows it. Plenty of schools ban drinking games outright. Check the guide for your lot before cups go down. If the rule says no, play cards or dice instead.
Responsible Drinking and Fun
Lead with this every time — not a lecture, a crew standard:
- Set clear rules — max drinks per round, time limits, and a hard stop before kickoff walks.
- Hydrate / alternate water — water between rounds isn’t optional hospitality.
- Know your limits — sit one out. No pressure. Bragging rights beat a bad afternoon.
- Eat before and during — food in the stomach, not just cups on the table.
Nobody drives impaired. Plan rides before the first pour.
Games in this footprint
Ten cups each end, ping-pong ball, fold-out table that can take spills. The lot classic when the school allows it. Shorten the table if the stall is tight; towel and trash bag ready before toss one.
Two sides, cans or cups as targets, soft-tip darts from a safe distance. Needs a backstop and a hard rule: nobody aims at people. Misses that hit chrome end the game.
Two teams in a line. Drink (or NA), flip the cup rim-down, next teammate goes. Fast, loud, easy to teach. Cap rounds so it doesn’t become the whole afternoon.
Pick a short ban list before kickoff — rival name, “touchdown,” someone’s catchphrase. Say one → drink or take the house forfeit. Works with zero alcohol if you swap the penalty. Resets every quarter.
Tabletop 1v1 duel set: clamp the board, seat a can each side, shield + lance. First to pierce the opponent’s can wins. Fast rounds — rotate challengers. Keep lances aimed at cans, not people.
Gear that shows up a lot
Folding table that can take spills — see tables. Cups, ping-pong balls, soft-tip darts, towels, trash bag. Water cooler next to the drink cooler. NA option ready so non-drinkers stay in the game.
Lot notes
If the campus / stadium guide bans drinking games, pack something else. No debate on asphalt. Keep aisles clear — cups in a driving lane get you asked to leave. More no-alcohol table energy: table & hands · cards · dice.
Fun first. Limits locked. Water on the table.
