Must see / do

Around campus

• The North Oval is the free public tailgate. Boyd Lawn is reserved and turnkey. Don’t mix them up. Party at the Palace, the lawn north of the stadium, runs from 3.5 hours before kick until 30 minutes out. Trucks, games, and a radio remote. It’s free.
• The Walk of Champions is 2:15 before kick. In 2026 it starts at Jenkins Avenue and Brooks Street, northeast of the stadium, with the Sooner Schooner and OU Spirit out front. Use the A–Z map, not an old intersection story. Campus Corner is the stroll after the walk, and around it.

Before the game

• Lloyd Noble Center is the park-and-shuttle. Parking there is free. The gameday shuttle is $5 round trip. Follow OU’s routing maps. Roads often close about 5.5 hours before kick, and phone GPS will lie about it.
• Gates open 2 hours before kick.

On the lot

• The Oval is free and first come. Boyd is reserved. N Asp, Brooks, and Lindsey are claimable pockets, and their stake clocks don’t match.
• Drop-off windows, the $30 cash lots, and the trailer rule are in the overview. The full policy guide is a PDF on the same page. Don’t guess past it.

Overview

• The North Oval is free public tailgating, first come, on pre-marked 15×15 spaces. Bring your own. Crimson and cream tent tops are encouraged.
• Evening drop-off is 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. the day before. Gameday drop-off is 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tear-down starts 45 minutes after the game. Gear and trash off by noon the next day.
• N Asp, Brooks, and Lindsey stay open, with earlier claim windows in the FAQ. Don’t stake Lindsey until 7:00 a.m. gameday.
• Boyd Lawn is reserved turnkey: tent, tables, TV, and catering. It isn’t free public space.
• Paid cash campus lots are about $30, first come. Lloyd Noble parking is free, plus a $5 round-trip shuttle. Follow OU’s route maps, not GPS. Closures often start about 5.5 hours before the game.
• Trailers only in paid lots, and they have to fit the space. Don’t pull onto the grass. Recycling goes in the blue bags. Trash goes in the black bags.
